Blu Ray
The Blu-Ray Disc is a next-generation optical disc format for storing a large amount of data using a short wavelength blue laser to read and write. As well as the MPEG-2 format used by DVD-Video, the BD-Video disc uses video codes, such as MPEG-4 AVC and VC-1, delivering high image quality using high compression rates.The data transfer speed is about five times faster than DVD. These technologies allow long-time playback of content with high-definition image quality. Most of the major motion picture companies will be supporting this format. The Panasonic DMP-BD10 has 15 billion pixel-per second processing and 192kHz/24bit audio for each of eight channels, this new Blu-ray Disc™ Player provides a level of image and sound quality that is truly amazing. Ease of use is important and HDAVI Control, a function that links operation of an HDAVI Control compatible TV and receiver, allowing you can control both at the same time with a single button.
BD-Video supports a number of formats. For example, the highest-quality format (1920 x 1080 pixels) can be recorded at any of four different frame rates - 59.94i, 50i, 23.976p and 24p and the compression format can be MPEG2, MPEG4 AVC or VC-1. The BD-Video player must detect these instantly and perform progressive conversion when necessary. Both for the de-interlacing and scaling, the DMP-BD10's super-high-speed P4HD generates each pixel correctly according to information obtained from up to 60 surrounding pixels. Applying progressive processing to huge amounts of data, it delivers images of striking beauty. You will require Full HD Plasma or LCD to enjoy Blu Ray's exceptional high resolution picture quality. Dyson has expanded it's range with two new exciting models. 1st the DC18 - A lightweight upright cleaner that comes in two versions, the All Floors and the Slim Allergy. It is very light at only 6.6kg and has flexible steering. Price £269.00.
